Dear Dr. Garfield:

This is in response to your letter of February 15 in
connection with Dr. Milan Zeleny's proposal to use the
facilities at Bellagio.

I am not much of a fan of "general systems theory" and
had some trouble extracting tangible meaning out of Dr.
zeleny's proposal. In fact I suspect that there might be
more good ideas at the conference than would be predicted
from the verbiage that was submitted.

 

Dr. Zeleny's main contact with me is that he had
approached me to join the editorial board of the new journal
Human Systems Management: I really was not able to give him
any encouragement on that score. I do not know what he is
referring to by way of additional sponsorship from the
Rockefeller University. I would be quite interested to
know what some one like Mr. Mueller had to say about it.
