The McClintock-rejection myth.
I was really pleased to see your corrective book review in science. I am misquoted somewhere as having described her as "mad or genius": not my style of remark about anyone, and nowhere in my recollection of feeling or utterance about Barbara. Recall I was at Wis. while RA Brink was following her path
But I fear the myth is too good a fairy tale to be dispelled by facts; and of course it is being assimilated into feminist/scientific politics.
Do add an honorary Sc. D. from Rockefeller University a few years ago to the roster of recognitions.
