I am writing to you about a manuscript on the "Mutants of
E. coli lacking in highly penicillin-sensitive D-alanin carboxy-
eptidase activity" by Matsuhashi, Takagaki, Maruyama, Tamaki,
Nishimura, Suzuki, Ogino and Hirota. We would like to publish
it on the P.N.A.S., promptly. Recently, Drs. Strominger and
Matsuhashi communicated to me about the manuscript which did
not arrived yet at the P.N.A.S. - office. I am how worrying if

something went wrong on the manuscript.

I am ready to take my best effort regarding to this matter,
if you could direct me how I should. Would you please let me
know about your mind on it, at your eariest convenience? Thank
