Dear Norm:

This is just a brief note to tell you how delighted I was to learn that
you had decided to come back to Stanford. I am sorry I didn't see you
during your very hasty visit to have a better chance to tell you then.

I know we will both be looking forward to operating in the new labora-
tories, which are coming along beautifully, and which should afford a
much better opportunity for us to get together here on a number of issues.
