Dear Werner:
I just wanted to tell you we are looking forward to your visit, and will be quite pleased if you would care to stay with us; we have slightly more room in our new home than in the house we were renting at your last visit. If you would be more comfortable in a hotel, then of course just tell Joe to make a reservation for you. We're off now on a brief trip ourselves.
Will you be in Washington the weekend of the 10th? Perhaps we'll see you there and can fly back together; at any rate, Vernon will know our plans.
