Dear Dr. Lederberg:

In connection with projected studies on the
mechanism of anti~bacterial action of penicillin, I am
very anxious to know whether sensitivity to penicillin
is dominant in E. coli under conditions where a dominance
phenomenon might be expected to manifest itself.

If you have any results along these lines,
no matter how fragmentary, I would consider it a great
favor if you would enlighten me.
