Dear Dr. Lederberg,

I'm sorry to say that | do not know of a study of Washington
Heights in the period you lived there, although | do know of many people who
would be interested in such an article.

There are two places that might yield the information | cannot
supply. One is George Washington High School which might know of such a study,
perhaps even done by one of their former students in years past.

Secondly, the Journal of American History lists articles and
dissertations done on local history all over the United States. It is a tire-
some task but perhaps some ambitious graduate student would want to go through
the issues for the last ten years and see if anything could be found.
