Your themes touch my own interests and history at several points.
There were still echoes of some "Rockefeller" controversy when I arrived at UW in 1947 and received a Foundation grant shortly thereafter.
Would you believe that Ernst Friedheim is still thriving, here? And Michael Heidelberger at NYU!
Was it the Rockefeller Institute or Foundation that made the grant? Or JDR personally?
