March 30, 1964 Professor Joshua Lederberg Department of Genetica Medical School Stanford University Palo Alto, California Dear Joshua and Esther: I enjoyed very much my visit with you and thank you very much for all favors. It was as the "old days" of Madison and which one cannot often return. I look forward to another visit if that is possible. I will let you know how the analysis of the intermediates in carbohydrate uptake progresses and whether I get to a stage to utilize your mass spectrograph and its “attachments", and also of the lipid analysis of membranes of wild type and transport defective mutant. I left Stanford without seeing Yanofsky as I felt that the schedule was tight for both of us. I did visit the lab and meet a couple of his people who helped steer me to the airport. Perhaps I can see him next trip. Best wishes, M. L. Morae, Ph.D. Associate Profeesor of Biophysica MLM: lbs Encl.
