It has been proposed by Ted Puck and Dr, Waring that I apply
for a Public Health Service Senior Research Fellowship. In order
to do this I must submit the names of individuals to whom the
Fellowship Branch may write. I wish to submit your name as one
of my references. I realize that you are quite busy, but would
you be able to fill out the form the Fellowship Branch would send

Everyone is quite well here and using his time productively.
Margaret is enjoying summer activities and Helvise is busy making
pneumococcal mutants. We hope to have a visit from Jim Crow any
moment as he is teaching at Rocky Mountain Biological Laboratory
in a week or two,
