Dear Dr. Lederberg:

Just a note to tell you that they have finally gotten the
eultures going. Ernest Chu who is quite expert in this area and
whose lab is next to mine is going over next month for some meetings
and is going to stop by Antwerp to give them help if they need it and send
or bring the cell lines back with him.

Nothing has happened yet but it will be a few more weeks before
we can expect anything judging from our animal work. Should we not see
anything we probably should reintroduce the virus as because of the
nature of things we gave a very conservative dogae -- less than we would
give a mouse or a rabbit.
