Thank you for your letter of October 24th. I found your reprint
most interesting and knowing you and your work did not find it unexpected
though I had not been aware of it. Dr. Beadle at almost the same time had
suggested the possibility in neoplasia of enzyme deletion playing a not un-
like role in the genesis of tumors.

Your having made the suggestion in your nutritional concept which
our work seems to fit, I thought you might be interested in the enclosed
reprints. Most of our work relating to the papilloma virus is currently in
press in The Journal of Experimental Medicine.
