Dear Joe:

Well, that turned out to be rather an exciting session after all, didn't it!
I'm looking forward to seeing the notes you made on tha session in hopes it may
revive some of the ideas that were being exchanged in the heat of the discussion.

This business of the vlocking of phosphate groups really does strike me as
a potential goldmine unless there proved to be serious chemical difficulties. {
! did look up fluorophosphate and it does have the indicated structure. There
probably should be a large literature on the synthesis of related compounds. This
particular compound is probably too reactive to be Just what we are looking for,
but there are evidently other halogen substitutions that might do even better.

Thanks for the semple of mitomycin just received.
