Dear Mr. Rossant
You may recall that I had to express some caveats about my schedule when I agreed to assist in the "risk" panel. Now I have been "conscripted" for several tasks in national security studies in Washington to which I must give first priority, and which are in direct conflict with the schedule for the risk panel. With apologies and regrets, I must resign.
I do enclose an article that is unusually perceptive about the definitions of risk.
