Dear Dr. Stoker:

Thank you very much for your telegram and letter
of April 26th conveying the most gratifying news of
my election as a Foreign Member of the Society. I am
happy indeed to receive and accept this honor.

At this moment it does not appear likely that I
will be able to attend the Anniversary meeting on
November 30, 1979. I will, however, be sure to keep
an urgent record to catch up with the opportunity for
formal admission to the Society on the next possible
occasion of a visit to London.

I am enclosing the forms as requested, again with
my appreciation and thanks.
