In response to your request of late June 1979, I am herewith sending
you a copy of my essay, "American Atomic Strategy and the Hydrogen
Bomb Decision" from the June 1979 issue of the Journal of American
History. I regret that I am so late in getting this off to you.
Unfortunately, my reprints only arrived a week ago.

 

Since I am currently engaged in writing a book on the subject of
nuclear strategy, I would appreciate any comments, criticisms,

questions or suggestions you might have with respect to the enclosed
article.

In addition, since I am currently completing my doctorate and expect
to be competing for an academic position for the 1980-1981 academic
