Dear Nelson:

Many thanks for your letter of September 25th,
accepting membership in the Governing Council of the
Rockefeller Archive Center. This is very good news,
and all concerned look forward with pleasure to see-
ing you at future meetings.

As I wrote you, the next meeting is on October
30th at the Rockefeller University York Avenue campus,
at 11:00 a.m., followed by a brief lunch that should
conclude by about 1:15 p.m. This lunch has proved
valuable in the past to give an opportunity for the
Council members to know each other better, and to
continue informally some of the discussion of the
meeting. You will, I am sure, find many friends in
this eleven member group.

Dick Dana is already in touch with Mary Kresky,
and will bring over some background material she re-
quested this coming Monday.

Looking forward with pleasure to seeing something
more of you through these meetings, which come three
times a year.
