Resources for the Future 1755 Massachusetts Avenue, N.W. Washington, D.C. 20036 January 10, 1979 Professor Joshua Lederberg President The Rockefeller University 1230 York Avenue New York, New York 10021 Dear Professor Lederberg: I have enclosed a copy of the paper that Ray Kopp and I prepared as part of the research supported under John Krutilla's and my NSF project. As I have mentioned during the several meetings of the advisory committee, this research was included with the overall research agenda effort that John and I have been undertaking. It is however, more technical than the other dimensions of the research and is not directed toward supporting the development of the agenda. As it happens our research findings do seem to suggest some interesting avenues for further . research. / This is the paper that will be one of the papers discussed at the final conference in February. Needless to say, if you have any reactions to the paper we would certainly value them. With best regards, Sincerely, V. Kerry Smith Senior Fellow VKS : cmm Enclosure 202/462-4400 Cable: Resources
