Dear Joshua:

Thank you for your letter of February 26. I will take up
your interest in strengthening basic and clinical research in
psychiatric disease at the next FFRP Board meeting which takes
place in early May. Some of our Board members might also have
some advice about specific people, I am sure you are thinking
of David Hamburg. Have you considered Daniel X. Freedman?

What about the very good people in Kety's shop such as Baldes-
sarini and Matthysse? Men who have impressed me are Erich Kandel
and Arnold Mandell. I'11 get back to you about this soon.

Herta and I will be very happy to see you when we are in
New York.
