(1) Hiroshima. There is no doubt of the sharp rise in leukemia. I said that the mutagenesis (though firmly predicted from other studies) could not be demonstrated in human populations
(2) The most cautious and fair minded review of XYY is Witkin's: Science, 193:547 (1976)
I don't think that "mental slowness" quite captures the behavior pattern. Nor, let it be said, does the "callous aggressiveness" that the media asserted.

If there were less public fascination it might be possible to do the prospective studies needed to clear up the etiology; that seems out of the question now.
