Dear Josh:

I have just received Dr. Estes' response to my invitation to
introduce the first recipient of the James Murray Luck Award. He L
prefers not to perform this task. Granted; BTack tic Porc three-
minute stint does seem more than some enjoy. Estes' suggestion is

that you would be the ideal presentor since you were instrumental in
initiating the prize. It seems a splendid solution to me and, there~
fore, I wonder if you would be good enough to introduce Dr. Robison

to President Handler on the twenty-third. We have not yet had a

response to our letter of announcement to Robison, but I am sure we

will receive a reply shortly. I have invited J. Murray Luck to

attend the award ceremony and the buffet dinner preceding it. I

realize that this may not be a possibility, but I suspect he will

enjoy being included in the plans for the celebration.

As you probably recall, black tie is indeed requested of those
appearing on the platform. In addition, a time limit of two to
three minutes is set for introductory remarks. The presentation of
the award which follows is made in equally brief terms.

This year's award ceremony promises to be a full and exciting
one, and I certainly hope you will be able to participate in the
evening's events.
