Evidence of our success in the scientific domain is indicated by our publications (see enclosed) and the increase in our budget from about one to three million. We are planning to celebrate our 10th Anniversary by outstanding events, hoping to gain greater visibility in the Boston area. In the midst of the many giant scientific institutions in Boston, this task is difficult for a small organization. The principal event will be a symposium with distinguished scientists as speakers. The theme will be “Medical Science in the year 2,000," to be presented at a level of complexity comprehensible to theimtelligent. layman. We plan three after- noon lectures and one in the evening, following cocktails and a buffet. We would be honored to have you as one of the speakers. The exact date has not been set, pending responses to our letters of invitation. We do, however, have auditorium res- ervation for either October 16 or 30. If I do not hear from you I shall call in about two weeks, to explore the honorarium and other arrangemets. In the hope that you can join us, Best regards, bovbe re Dr. Barbara E.
