Thank you for your letter of March 5. My perception is that you already have a superb committee; and it is difficult for me to see what I could add to it that could not be readily found in its present membership or from others not yet so preoccupied.
Unless you have reason to correct this perception, I wonder if you would excuse me?
I do appreciate the implied confidence, and hope you will understand my cautions about further subsidizing the NY-Wash shuttle.
