Many thanks for remembering that I would be interested in fo
even a minuscule tribute to Barbara McClintock. At some point -————
in talking about Barbara I will try to bring in your special
recollection.

The response to our letter to members of the Genetic Society
of America for support for the McClintock Fellowships has been
very rewarding. It is evident that many people welcome the
opportunity to help honor Barbara in this way. We are hopeful
that the enthusiastic response will be good ammunition when we
go to foundations and philanthropists for endowment support for
the fellowships.

It was very good to see you on that waqnderful occasion in
New York a few weeks ago.
