Dr. John Sninsky Cetus [stamped, JUL -- 5 1991] silent HIV Dear John -- I'd appreciate your helping me, interpret your paper in a recent NEJM. (I realize you were one among a host of authors.) The main burst [?] is the safety of our sero-screened blood supply. Less than or approximately 1/60000 of those bloods are from PCR plus donors. But I note that .01 percent (1/10000 donated bloods are seropositive). So 1/6 (asymptomatic) HIV infected persons are silent -- seronegative? Or what is the correct datum on this? Yours: Joshua.
