June 12, 1967 Dr. Frits Orakov Marielystvej 20 Copenhagen F, Denmark Dear Frits: I was glad to have your letter of April 7, even if it turned out I could not make any immediate use of it during my last trip. I was on my way to Israel, and in fact my baggage managed to reach Tel Aviv, but without me. At any rate, my plans were so disorganized that in the end I found it was not possible to come back via Copenhagen as I had planned. However, be sure that I will look for another occasion, as I am very much interested in renewing contact with you and Ide. Not inconceivably some time this fall may afford another opportunity. As for my column, I thought that the Paris Times Tribune Post might carry it, but so far they have not done so. At the present time it is available only in Die Zeit, published in Hamburg. However, the Post is making nego- tiations with some other newspapers and you might hear more of it in Denmark ag a result. The most effective arrangements have been via word of mouth to the various editors. NASYO Concerning the more interesting scientific issues about viral vaccines, there is some possibility that the subject may be taken up at WHO, but the more mi¢roblologiests take an interest in the question, the more likely there is to be some sensible policy developed. I am very happy to have the Dansk catalog and will make some plans at leisure about asking to order some of the trays. Sincerely yours, Joshua Lederberg Professor of Genetics
