we are very glad to have your letter of November 20 telling
us of the present and future of the plans and facilities for your work
at the University of wisconsin.

When the Board of Scientific Advisers of the Fund met on
December 6, the information in your letter was reported. While the
members of the Board are sympathetic with the difficulties you are
facing in completing the equipment of your laboratory, it was felt
that this is a local vcroblem which lies within the realm of the
University administration. The Board was not inclined to encourage
an application for the purposes mentioned.
