I am very sorry to have missed seeing you when we visited Palo Albo this
suamer, during your vacation. One of the questions I would have liked to ask
you was whether you gon@d give me any deteils at all of the history of strain
K-12 of EB, cold : where and when isolated; what other work may have heen done
on it, and so forth, Your recent paper on oxidative assimilation of glucose by
this strain reminded me to write you about it. May I ask you to keep ae in mind
for a reprint of this paper and for the one following which promises to deal
with the efficiency of assimilation? Thank you,
