I was delighted to receive your letter of May 15th, telling me of your activities to organize Health Care for America. For years I have supported the idea of a national health program, and now more than ever it is needed. You have my
total support, and I am enclosing a check for $4,000 as a token contribution.
I want to thank you again for your wonderful comments about me at the Cancer
Hearing. Please continue to do everything you can with Senator Harkin to support a $200 million increase this year for cancer research and prevention and for vaccine programs. Without a vaccine, this nightmare of a disease will continue indefinitely.
