January 6, 1986 Dear Leon: My memory is getting bad. I don't really remember how well I have kept you informed about the arrangements for next summer. I do remember telling you that Peter Condliffe is unable to help out, even to the extent of having the Fogarty sponsor the visit with the stipend paid from our Laboratory budget. We can arrange for you to come on a Professional Services Contract. You said that it would be in summer, probably June-July or July-August. Either way will probably be fine. As I told you, we will have space available across the hall and down a bit from Claude's lab. The total stipend will come to about $4200. I hope the winter is not too bad in Ithaca. Here it has been quite mild. With best regards. Sincerely, Maxine Singer
