My dear Dr. Flexner,
The Barnard Alumnae are getting up a movie to show the progress of the work of women to be used for the drive for the seven women's colleges and have asked me to represent women in science. I have refused and refused and now they have urged it so strongly that I have agreed to ask you about it. They want to take a picture of my laboratory and it is now so late that it would have to be taken to-morrow, Friday. I have assured them that there is very little chance of your being willing to have a movie camera brought into the building.
