Dear John:
Barton Childs tells me that he will not be coming to Bar Harbor in August.  He is going to Europe in June and July and feels it would be extensive to try to make Bar Harbor too.  This may afford some relief on faculty stipends and may influence what you think about our inviting Dintzis to come along.

P.S.: I have an application from two Negro professors at Howard.  The Oakes Center worked out perfectly satisfactorily of course; does the fact that we will have different accommodations this summer through any different light on the situation?
