The following Letter has been received since the publication of the last sixty Cures by the Antiarthritic Ointment for the Gout and Rheumatism, as in- serted in the Gloucester Journal of March 21, 1785. To Mr. RICKETTS, SIR, I Return you my very sincere thanks for the Cure I have obtained by the use of your most excellent Ointment; for, being afflicted a long time with the Rheumatism, I anointed the place aggrieved, so that in a few times it re- [4] lieved me so much that I am quite free from any pain,—Likewise my Cousin Ann Skinner, desires her best thanks for the great benefit she has received from a small portion of that most valuable Ointment, which I gave to her. From, Sir, Your most obedient, and obliged humble servant; Ross; Herefordshire, April 17, 1785. ELIZ. SKINNER; DIRECTIONS for using it. The application is simple.—When the Gout is predominant, and the pain violent, use it often: this will hasten on the swelling, and soon alleviate the pain.—As the pain assuages, and the swelling goes off, use the Ointment at your discretion.—The above application has been found to be of infinite ser- vice in all rheumatic complaints.
