GODFREY, JR.* M.D. COMMISSIONER GENERAL INFORMATION The 16 mm. and 35 mm. films listed on the following pages are lent under the following conditions which must be complied with by the borrowers: a silent projector. If you have a silent projector, be sure to specify silent films. 5 Date of Showing 1 Cost of Borrowing Films are booked for specified dates only. If possible give an alternate date, also a second choice of films in case the original selection is not available. Frequently, a request for a loan must be refused because there is no vacancy in the film schedule for the exact date specified. If you can allow leeway, say for a week or more and state that you can use the film on any date within that period, the chances of your request being granted will be greatly increased. Make requests well in advance of anticipated date of showing. Films are lent without charge for group showings only and are shipped out express collect. As the borrower is expected to pay the transportation charges one way only, films may be returned express collect. Shipments will be made by prepaid parcel post when requested, but they must be returned prepaid. Loans are restricted to New York State. The right is reserved to refuse to ship films where conditions lead to the belief that they will not be properly handled or where the size of the audience does not justify their use. The films are not intended for home entertainment and should not be run on toy pro- jectors with or without a motor. 6 Safety Film All films listed are cellulose acetate; i.e., the noninflam- mable or safety type. This applies to both the 16 and 35 mm. sizes. 2 Damage to Films A condition of all loans is: The borrower must provide a projector which is in good mechanical working order and an experienced operator who is thoroughly familiar with'the operation of the projector which is to be used. Damage to films other than normal wear and tear is to be paid for by the borrower. 7 Rewinding Films Do not make any repairs unless necessary and do not rewind the films after the last showing. 8 Time Required for Showing Films Running time is indicated for each picture. 9 Classification of Films 3 Return of Films Motion pictures must be returned immediately after the last date of use. Do not keep films in your possession after the specified dates. Delays in returning shipments cause disappointment and inconvenience to subsequent borrowers.
