Forage and shelter for the animals and subsistence for the men will be furnished by them upon the requisi- tion of any officer, or of his authorized agent, of Col. Cole’s department, who will receipt for the same. 11. To prevent claims for commutation of rations which may have been previously drawn, surgeons in charge of hospitals will endorse on the furlough of enlisted men who leave a hospital on furlough, a statement of the number of days and the dates he has drawn rations for the enlisted men. order.
