At the moment, I don't have any ideas to contribute to the use of biological processes for makinig inorganic polymers. If Dr. Knox cares to discuss his problem with me, I might get some ideas. Presently, I don't know of any inorganic polymers (except glass and some minerals) of special interest. My present approach to polymers of biological interest is to see if I can raise some money for studying rates and equilibrea in the copolymerization of phosphoric acid and a number of glycols, and then consider the template aspects of the problem when I have some polymerization data. I propose to try the NIH or NSF but any suggestion from you is welcome.
