Dear Joshua and Esther,
With all the family, except Violetta, we are hiking on the mountains in a last bit of summer holidays.  Wonderful mountains and aching feet.  I have received, and enjoyed the list of houses at Stanford.  Unfortunately general university situation here is totally unchanged (decisions in November) and with that big uncertitude on one's mind it is always difficult to take any decision.  Can you wait until November-early December?  All the best
