November 29, 1995 Dear Maxine, Congratulations on your much deserved Ph.D. from the Weizmann Institute of Science. We are extraordinarily fortunate and honored to have a scientist of your stature associating herself so publicly with the Institute and its American supporters. When I heard you speak in Washington, I was moved by your relationship with the Institute and its place in your life. I am so pleased to know that the Institute values that relationship and has demonstrated it by this Ph.D. I welcome your suggestions and ideas for how we might better communicate the importance of the Institute to the American community. I would be equally interested to know your thoughts on how we can make better use of the scientists in the States who have a particular affection for the Institute. You have been incredibly helpful to the American Committee, and I want to take this opportunity to also thank you for all that you have done. With warm wishes for the holiday and the New Year. Sincerely, Fran
