I would like to report that I have referred to the Board of Syndics of the Harvard University Press your letter of December twenty-third and in particular your comments concerning "the ethical problem" in publishing Watson's book to which you draw my attention. Your letter of October tenth addressed to Watson has also been put before the Syndics.  The editors of the Press are consulting with scientists to make sure the book is factually accurate and fair.
