Dear Doctor: The Committee of Administration of Georgetown University Hospital, heg leave to announce that their Hospital wilt be open for the reception of patients by August 15, 1898. The free beds are for the benefit of indigent sick, but evidence of dependency will have to be furnished according to the rules of the Medical Associ- ation of the District of Columbia, before admission is granted. Seven rooms have been fitted up for the ac- commodation of pay patients, and the privilege of attend- ing private patients in these rooms is extended to all members of the Medical Association and to Surgeons of the Army, Navy and the Marine Hospital Service. The domestic management and nursing of the Hospital will be in charge of a colony of Sisters from the St. Agnes Hospital of Philadelphia, and it is hoped the Medical Profession of Washington will avail itself freely of the opportunities afforded by this Institution for the care of such of their patients as may be in need of hospital facilities. The Hospital will have well- equipped Emergency and Dispensary services also. Very truly yours, JOS. TABER JOHNSON, Chairman. S. S. ADAMS. GEO. T. VAUGHAN. C. H. A. KLEINSCHMIDT. GEO. M. KOBER.
