It is desired that the Inspector will state fully in remarks, or in a special report, anything far- ther that he considers necessary for the information of proper authority. What is the condition of the garbage dumps ? Remarks on Policing City. 16. Water supply : (Sources are cisterns, wells, springs, running streams, and aque- ducts. In different places, one or more, or all these sources may be employed. Tlie inspector should carefully ascertain «all» the sources of supply.) Quality : hard or soft, free from organic matter or not. (The Inspector should carefully examine the different water supplies in person. In case it is water from the mountains, he should carefully inspect the «reservoir», then proceed to the «source», and later inspect the «water shed» of the supply stream. On all these points, a report will be expected. In case of the larger cities, samples of water should be collected and sent to the San Juan hospital for analysis. For this pur- pose not less than one gallon is needed, which should be placed in a «new demi- john» and closed with a «new cork.) Does the quality vary at different seasons ?
