ALLEGED SHIPMENT: On or about September 24, 1952, by the Adrian Coopera- tive Creamery, from Adrian, Minn. PRODUCT: 44 66-pound cartons of butter at Webster City, Iowa. NATURE OF CHARGE: Adulteration, Section 402 (a) (3), the article consisted in whole or in part of a filthy substance by reason of the presence of insects, manure, and rodent hair fragments, and by reason of the use of filthy cream in its preparation; and, Section 402 (a) (4), the article had been prepared under insanitary conditions whereby it may have become contaminated with filth. DISPOSITION: November 14, 1952. Default decree of condemnation. The court ordered that the product be sold on the condition that it be denatured or otherwise reprocessed into animal feed or soap grease, or, in the event the product could not be sold, that it be delivered to a charitable institution under the same conditions as provided for in the sale of the product.
