PRODUCT: Peanut butter. 41 cases, each containing 24 10-ounce jars, and 45 cases, each containing 24 8%-ounce jars, at Albuquerque, N. Mex. LABEL IN PART : (Jar) "Rich-Nut Peanut Butter." NATURE OF CHARGE: Adulteration, Section 402 (a) (3), the product consisted in whole or in part of a filthy substance by reason of the presence of insect parts and (41-case lot only) rodent hair fragments; and, Section 402 (a) (4), the product had been prepared under insanitary conditions whereby it may have become contaminated with filth.
