ALLEGED SHIPMENT : On or about December 21,1949, by Reuther's Sea Food Co., Inc., from New Orleans, La. PRODUCT: 99 cases, each containing 48 5-ounce cans, of shrimp at New York, N. Y. LABEL IN PART: (Can) "Marvelous Brand Shrimp." NATURE OF CHARGE: Adulteration, Section 402(a)(3), the article consisted in whole or in part of a decomposed substance by reason of the presence of decomposed shrimp. DISPOSITION : April 14, 1950. Reuther's Sea Food Co., Inc., claimant, having consented to the entry of a decree, judgment of condemnation was entered and the court ordered that the product be released under bond for segregation of the unfit portion, under the supervision of the Federal Security Agency. The segregation operations resulted in the destruction of 81 cases and 13 cans as unfit.
