ALLEGED SHIPMENT: On or about January 15, 1949, by the Meyer Canning Co., from Edinburg, Tex. PRODUCT: 53 cases, each containing 24 1-pound, 2-ounce cans, of spinach at Blevins, Ark. LABEL IN PART : "Gold Inn Spinach." NATURE OF CHARGE: Adulteration, Section 402 (a) (3), the product consisted in whole or in part of a decomposed substance. Misbranding, Section 403 (g) (1), the product fell below the standard of identity for canned spinach since it had not been processed by heat so as to prevent spoilage. DISPOSITION: July 5, 1949.
