NATURE OE CHARGE: Adulteration, Section 402 (a) (3), the products consisted in 
part of filthy substances by reason of the presence of insect fragments, rodent 
hairs, insects, and rodent hair fragments; and, Section 402 (a) (4), they had 
been prepared, packed, and held under insanitary conditions whereby they 
may have become contaminated with filth.
Misbranding (coconut cookies), Section 403 (i) (2), the product was fabri- 
cated from two or more ingredients and its label failed to bear the common or 
usual name of each such ingredient, since the product contained corn flakes, 
which was declared as imitation coconut; and (Home-Made Cakes), Section 
403 (k), the product contained a chemical preservative, a propionate, and it 
failed to bear labeling stating that fact.
DISPOSITION: April 14, 1947. A plea of nolo contendere having been entered, 
imposition of sentence was suspended for 1 year.
