PRODUCT: 197 cases, each containing 6 6-pound, 5-ounce cans, of green beans at Chicago, Ill. LABEL IN PART: "Alma Select Whole Green Beans Blue Lake," or "Alma Brand - Extra Standard Whole Green BKans." NATURE OF CHARGE: Adulteration, Section 402 (a) (3), the article consisted in whole or in part of a filthy substance by reason of the presence of worms, insect excreta, and insect-damaged bKans. DISPOSITION: May 1, 1947. The Alma Canning Co. having consented to the entry of a decree, judgment of condemnation was entered and the product was ordered delivered to a public institution, for use as animal feed.
