LIBEL FILED : On or about June 11, 1945, Eastern District of Louisiana. ALLEGED SHIPMENT : On or about May 2,1945, by Wilson & Co., from Macon, Miss. PRODUCT: 14 20-pound Cheddar cheeses at New Orleans, La. Analysis showed that the product failed to meet the standard of identity for Cheddar cheese, since its solids contained less than 50 percent of milk fat. NATURE OF CHARGE: Adulteration, Section 402 (b) (2), an article deficient in milk fat had been substituted in whole or in part for Cheddar cheese. DISPOSITION : August 29, 1945. No claimant having appeared, judgment of con- demnation was entered and the product was ordered delivered to a local hospital.
