ALLEGED SHIPMENT : Between the approximate dates of May 18 and July 7,1944, from the State of Colorado into the States of New Mexico, Nebraska, and Wyoming. LABEL IN PART: "Julia Lee Wright's Sliced White [or "Cracked Wheat Bread," or "Rye Bread"]." VIOLATIONS CHARGED: Adulteration, Section 402 (a) (3), the product consisted in whole or in part of a filthy substance by reason of the presence of rodent hairs, a hair resembling a rodent hair, rodent hair fragments, a hair fragment similar to a rodent hair, a whole insect, insect fragments, and nondescript dirt; and, Section 402 (a) (4), it had been prepared and packed under insanitary conditions whereby it may have become contaminated with filth. DISPOSITION: March 10, 1945. A plea of nolo contendere having been entered on behalf of the defendant, a fine of $100 on each count, a total of $500, was imposed.
