On February 26, 1943, the United States attorney for the Western' District of Washington filed a libel against 17 cartons, each carton containing 30 prints, of butter at Seattle, Wash.^ alleging that the article had been shipped in inter- state commerce on or about February 20, 1943, by the Boundary Creamery Co. from Bonners Ferry, Idaho; and charging that it was adulterated in that a product containing less than 80 percent by weight of milk fat had been sub- stituted for butter. The article was labeled in part: (Carton) "Butter Paget Sound Butter & Egg Co. Seattle, Wash.," (print) "Washington Maid Fine Crejftnery Butter." On March 1, 1943, the Boundary Creamery Co., claimant, having admitted the allegations of the libel, judgment of condemnation was entered and the product was ordered released under bond for reworking under the supervision of the Food and Drug Administration.
